Screening and Discussion of "The Desert of Forbidden Art"
Truro Public Library -- Tuesday, August 31, 7 pm

Desert of Forbidden Art

Please join us for this very special program which is the first Cape screening of the film. Co-sponsored by the Truro, Wellfleet and Provincetown Public Libraries and the Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill.

Former New York Times foreign correspondent Stephen Kinzer will introduce the screening and lead a discussion of a new documentary film about an amazing collection of Russian Avant-Garde art by an unknown school of artists who settled in Uzbekistan after the Russian Revolution.

Ben Kingsley, Sally Field and Ed Asner voice the diaries and letters of the artists and the collector, and Kinzer is interviewed in the film about the collection.
