The Library's
email reference policy is as follows:
- Email your
reference question to: ddejonker@provincetown-ma.gov
- Library staff
check their email daily and will acknowledge receipt of the question within
48 hours.
- Questions
will be answered or referrals made within two weeks.
- Email questions
will be researched only if the question can be answered by the Library's
collection.
- If the question
does not come from a Library patron, questions which are of a general nature
and not relating to the Town's history will be referred to the individual's
library.
- Library staff
will limit their search to 15 minutes. If more time is needed, Library staff
will notify the inquirer that Library staff and volunteers will work on
the question as time allows. If the inquirer needs to have the research
done sooner, Library staff recommend that the patron visit the Library or
hire a local researcher.
